.bio .images .media Annik I think Denver gentleman JP put it best when he told me Annik 'existed for all the right reasons.' Patrick (Pisces), Bryan (Pisces), Ben (Leo), and Sam (Leo) formed four perfect parts to create an amazing band. Comparisons to Joy Division & Death In June have been made but Annik were something else...and I am ill fit to describe it. I am most impressed with their ability to use subtle & harsh dynamics in the same moment. 
Annik. If you do not pay attention you may not notice a change but if listening closely, the changes can be quite extreme. Although the band did not last too long, I think Annik may have been the best band to ever call Denver home. Six songs were recorded just before the band ended and plans to mix, master, & release those songs are in the works. The Leos of Annik recorded a track for the first Local Shakedown CD. Although I like that song, it's just one side of Annik. |
